Other COMARE Documents
- Letter
on Controllable Dose - 14 July 2000 - the committee has
commented, by letter, on suggestions for revision of the International
Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) system of radiological
protection. These suggestions were published in 1999 by the
chairman of ICRP, Professor R H Clarke ("Control of Low-level
radiation exposure: time for a change?" R Clarke, Journal
of Radiological Protection, Vol 19, No 2, 1999). They went under
the general title of 'controllable dose'. The interest raised
led to an offer by Professor Clarke to present the ideas to
representatives of relevant UK Government advisory committees,
Government departments and other interested bodies at a special
seminar in February 2000. COMARE members attended and written
comments were provided to Professor Clarke.
